Complete Systems
Farris
Automated Systems has the experience and resources to provide our
customers with turnkey automation solutions. These one of a kind
machines are designed and built for a specific application or to
solve a production problem.
- An FAS
engineer will meet with the customer to review the application
and based on the customer’s written specifications, develop a
concept.
- During
the concept review meeting, the machine concept as well as a
project timeline is presented to the customer.

- Once the
customer approves the basic concept, the machine is designed
using 3D Computer Aided Design. During this and following steps,
weekly progress reports are supplied to the customer with an
updated timeline. This lets the customer know exactly where the
project is in the process and reduces the number of meetings
that the customer needs to be involved in. If there is a problem
and a meeting is required, FAS uses a web based meeting software
to minimize the meeting time.

- A design
review meeting is scheduled to review all aspects of the
project. During this meeting, any changes are addressed. Once
the design is approved by the customer, the machine is built and
tested at the FAS facility. The customer will then come to FAS
for a machine buyoff to ensure that all of the machine
specifications that the customer supplied are met.
- With the
buyoff complete, the machine is crated and shipped to the
customer for installation.
