About Farris

History

Farris Automated Systems (FAS) was founded in 2003 by Mark Johansen in a small work space in Stoughton, WI. Creating custom electrical enclosures, PLC Systems and control systems for fastening systems, FAS soon began getting requests to build larger systems and complete machines.

In 2005, Mark added a Mechanical Engineer to the FAS staff and rented space from the machine shop that was currently producing parts for FAS. The two began designing; building and installing complete automation systems and custom machines for a variety of industries.

From these humble beginnings, FAS has moved into their current location in Hartland, WI. FAS now has a full machine shop to support its large variety of projects. Today, FAS’ customers range from small manufacturing facilities to large automotive and implement manufactures. Projects range from small control systems to complete turn key automation machines and systems. In addition, FAS is currently developing its own line of products.
